R&B Insurance and Tax Solutions LLC
R & B Insurance and Tax Solutions, LLC was established in January 2008, by Jarvis “Robin” Barnes, out of a small room attached to her home from a vision to meet the needs of the community. Over the next several years, R & B was only preparing taxes during tax season. It wasn’t until the Affordable Healthcare Act, mostly known as “Obamacare”, was fully implemented in 2015, that the insurance aspect of the business was implemented. This act required reconciliation on tax returns of subsidies premiums; therefore, it only made sense to offer people health insurance through the tax office, especially with the owner being a licensed life/health insurance agent as well as a registered tax preparer.
In January 2015, R & B Insurance and Tax Solutions, LLC opened at its current location, 27 Hill Street, Statesboro, Georgia, as a one man or should I say “one woman” operation, offering not only tax services, but life and health insurance as well.
By 2016, the business had grown and needed a full-time Customer Service Representative. In November 2016, the goal was accomplished and the first staff member,
Courtney McNeely-Jones, was hired.
As cliental grew, so did demands. When there are demands, there are supplies. So in January 2017, R & B became a full fledge insurance agency offering property and casualty insurance, in addition to the life and health products.
Our office currently offers annuity and tax prep solutions, notary services, life, health, home, auto, commercial, and even pet insurance. Mortgage loans are being offered through American Pacific Mortgage.

ROBIN BARNES
OWNER / AGENT
Ms. Jarvis Robinetta “Robin” Barnes was born to the late James R. Barnes and Jarvis W. Barnes in Statesboro, Georgia. She is a graduate of the Statesboro High School Class of 2000. Robin attended Tuskegee University where she received a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Accounting in May 2004. She is the mother of a handsome son.
In September 2004, Robin followed in her parents’ footsteps by earning an associate degree in Funeral Service at Ogeechee Technical College (OTC). Upon graduation, she successfully passed the National Board Exam, completed her apprenticeship and became a licensed funeral director and embalmer in 2007, all while deciding to take refresher courses in Accounting at OTC, to prepare taxes as a side business. The refresher courses turned into an Associates in Accounting, with other diploma levels included. If that wasn’t enough, she decided to become a Mortgage Loan Officer in 2020.
Robin is a licensed Mortgage Loan Officer, Notary Public, and a Registered Tax Preparer. Robin holds a Life and Health and Property and Casualty License in the states of Georgia, Florida, Colorado, and South Carolina. She also holds a Loan Officer license in Georgia, Florida, South Carolina, North Carolina, Texas, Hawaii, and Colorado.
Robin’s education in accounting and experience with insurance, led her to start her own business, R&B Insurance and Tax Solutions, LLC.
